Europe is increasingly moving into the spotlight of international cannabis investors. Just a few weeks after the acquisition of Remexian Pharma by High Tide in Germany, another deal is making headlines: Casa Verde Capital, the venture fund co-founded by Snoop Dogg, has invested £4.5 million into the UK medical cannabis clinic Mamedica.
Founded in 2022, Mamedica has quickly become one of the leading clinics for medical cannabis in the United Kingdom. With around 7,500 active patients today, the company has ambitious growth plans – aiming to double that number by the end of the year. The focus is on telemedicine: patients can be easily consulted via video appointments and then receive their prescribed medicines directly at home.
With fresh capital from Casa Verde, Mamedica plans to further professionalize its operations, expand the range of prescribed products, and optimize logistics for nationwide distribution. Alongside Casa Verde, prominent UK investors such as former Premier League players Bobby Zamora and Mark Noble also joined the round.
Europe Attracts Capital
With Remexian in Germany and Mamedica in the UK, two major deals have landed in Europe in just a short time. The message is clear: Europe is becoming the most exciting region for cannabis investments worldwide. Investors are no longer waiting on the sidelines – they are deploying capital now to actively shape the market.
Germany remains the foundation, but the latest move in the UK shows that growth is spreading across borders. For founders, investors, and patients alike, this is good news: Europe is building a diverse, innovative, and increasingly stable cannabis market.
