It’s been a year since Cannabis-Startups.com began evolving into a “media haus” with a sharp focus on Germany. Not only is our team 100% German, but the country’s path toward legalization has drawn massive international interest.
Building Momentum:
When we launched, we leaned on our strong LinkedIn following to test different types of content. Over the past three years, our monthly DEEP-DIVE on European regulation with expert Peter Homberg has kept founders informed and prepared to build better companies. This partnership inspired not just us, also a lot of founders to start building!
We’ve experimented with German video shows (like Broccoli Talk with Peter Homberg) and daily LinkedIn articles to establish ourselves as the go-to media source for cannabis founders in Germany and beyond!
By the Numbers:
- 4,000+ makers receive our monthly newsletter.
- We post updates on LinkedIn almost daily, with an incredible reach!
Our newsletter has become a must-read for industry professionals and enthusiasts alike. We deliver in-depth coverage of the biggest story each month, alongside quick takes on all the cannabis news that matters.
Is it easy to put together? Heck no. But staying on top of the industry is critical, and that’s why we’re now sharing weekly!

What We’ve Achieved in Building Companies:
This year, we supported 6 startups with a total funding volume of €6 million and helped 4 founders take their first steps in the industry.
Through our Venture Studio, we’ve refined our “Introduction Engine” to connect startups with the right partners, resources, and opportunities. Our earliest example is ELIXIE from this month, which we hep to connect with German pharma companies to bring their products to market.
And guess what? We’re just getting started.
Why It Matters:
Creating new formats to keep niche audiences engaged is harder than ever. But we firmly believe that innovative formats—from whitepapers to video series—are the key to staying relevant and impactful.
At ICBC a few weeks ago, where we proudly sponsored the TALMAN HOUSE, we received incredible feedback from both industry newcomers and veterans. They shared how our insights are shaping business decisions across European markets.
We also recognize that we’re not the only player in the game, which is why we’ve partnered with industry leaders who share our vision.
Looking Ahead:
- Cross-Promotion Partnerships: We’ve teamed up with ICBC to support their newly rebranded investor event series, TALMAN HOUSE.
- Startup Deals: We’re offering special deals for startups (less than 5 years old) to attend next year’s must-attend B2B conferences in Europe’s biggest markets.
We’re excited to expand these partnerships in 2025 and continue growing together as an industry.
Signing Off for 2024:
Thank you for being part of our journey. We’ll be back in 2025, stronger than ever, for next year of Cannabis-Startups.com—further establishing ourselves as a media haus and a launchpad for brands entering Germany and the European market.
Let’s build the future of cannabis together!
